A man in his 30s ended up stuck in a field with his car buried in mud after he lost control of it on a bend.
Fire and rescue crews had to dig a trench in order to free the man from his car.
The incident happened on Drub Lane, Gomersal.
A firefighter from Cleckheaton Fire Station said: “We were called to the incident at about 6am today but it was unclear how long the man had been in the car. He was in his 30s and suffered a head injury. His car had left the road, demolished a stone wall and gone some distance into the field on the other side. His car was buried quite deep in the mud and we had to dig a trench to get him out. He was then taken to hospital.”
