buckling up: Students are in the fast lane with a brand new school bus

PUPILS and staff at a Leeds school are in the fast lane after they were presented with a brand new mini-bus.

Students at Woodlands Primary, in Harehills, were celebrating the arrival of a brand new Variety sunshine coach.

School site manager Nick Mildenhall said the coach would make a “huge difference” to pupils.

“This is the first sunshine coach the school has had and will make a huge difference,” he said.

“Previously, when we took children on outings, we had to either borrow a coach from another school or hire one, which is expensive and eats into our precious budgets.

“The coach will be used for school trips and outings and will enable us to enrich the children’s curriculum and provide them with new experiences.

“We will also use it to transport pupils, who due to personal circumstances, might not otherwise be able to get to and from school.”
