Beeston Primary: Road safety lessons for pupils
Children at Beeston Primary took time out from their usual lessons to learn about road safety.

West Yorkshire-based road safety charity Brake visited the school to teach the children essential pedestrian skills.

Groups of year three children were told how to cross a zebra crossing, how to avoid dangerous situations on the roads and the importance of crossing in a safe place.
Eight-year-old pupil Georgia Kerrigan said: "Now I know what to do when I am crossing the road.
"I will always think, stop, look and listen.
These are really important things to do and you should always remember the green cross code."
