Pupils have been back in the classroom for a summer literacy school at Cockburn College of Arts in Beeston.

The two-week event, organised by Education Leeds, brought together youngsters from local primary schools and follows a similar successful summer school last year.
Its aim was to bring together children from diverse backgrounds to take part in a variety of activities and improve their literacy skills and also to highlight to the local community how both fun and educationally beneficial summer schools can be.
