Beeston Festival has become a major feature in the calendar of the community.

It features music, stalls, dance, sport and food.

This year's festival in Cross Flatts Park on Saturday, June 13, includes a competition for "best dressed" stall for the first time.

Stallholders are being asked to get creative and decorate their stalls –and even themselves – as impressively and colourfully as possible.

Stalls will be judged on impact, originality and clarity of information.

The judges will be Hilary Benn MP and Zo Mitchell from the Beeston Festival committee. Winners will receive a hamper of Fair Trade food and drinks donated by the Co-op.

The deadline for booking a stall is May 22.

* For booking forms contact Angela Gabriel on (0113) 2771855 or email: beestonfestival@googlemail.com
