Batley man faces terror charges
A BATLEY man faces terrorism charges.
Terence Robert Gavan, 38, was charged under section 58 of the Terrorism Act – having weapons and having or collecting information which could be useful to a terrorist. He is also accused of five firearms offences.
Gavan was arrested after counter-terrorism police swooped on his house in Colbeck Terrace, Batley, on May 21.
He appeared via videolink before London's Old Bailey on Friday when he was remanded in custody for a plea and case management hearing on October 2.
