Ballerina lands a plum job...
NORTHERN Ballet Theatre's very own Sugar Plum Fairy is teaming up with Leeds Tourist Information Centre to launch their charity Christmas cards.
Each year the Tourist Information Centre, which is part of Leeds City Council, sells cards, advent calendars, children's presents and wrapping to support a wide range of charities and 80p of each pound goes to charity.
Northern Ballet Theatre's production of The Nutcracker opened at the Leeds Grand Theatre on Tuesday where it will run until December 8. Synonymous with Christmas, The Nutcracker is a seasonal favourite that tells the story of Clara and her wooden Nutcracker doll that is much more than it seems.
Solo ballerina Georgina Roberts posed in her Sugar Plum Fairy costume as she opened the Gateway Yorkshire shop for the first sales of charity cards and gifts.
