Helen Smith was 23 when she died in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, after apparently falling from a balcony.
Her father, Ron Smith, has spent the past 30 years trying to prove his daughter was murdered.
He refused to believe official reports that his daughter's death was an
accident and, until recently, would not allow her body to be released for burial.
Miss Smith's remains have since been held in a mortuary in Leeds and this is believed to be the longest time a body has lain unburied in the UK.
On Monday, she was finally laid to rest when 83-year-old Mr Smith joined his former wife Jeryl at Wakefield Crematorium for a small ceremony involving only family and friends.
Sources said the family met again on Wednesday morning to sprinkle Miss Smith's ashes over the picturesque Ilkley Moor.
