ALL Aboard: Full steam ahead for Roundhay Park’s land train

A MUCH loved land train will return to Roundhay Park this summer.

The train’s route takes in Waterloo Lake, Barron’s Fountain and the Mansion, while connecting the three car parks with the Lakeside Cafe.

Scott Pullen & Son Fun Fairs won the contract to run the service after a tendering process. it will be sponsored by Al Murad Tiles.

Coun Jack Dunn, Leeds City Council’s lead member for the environment said: “It is really fantastic news to welcome back a land train to Roundhay Park this summer, and given the reception of those youngsters who were given a sneak preview, it promises to be a big hit.

“We would like to wish operators Scott Pullen & Son Fun Fairs the very best of luck when the land train is launched this summer, and also pass on our thanks to Al Murad Tiles Ltd for their very kind sponsorship.”
