He was seen in Wellington Street in pyjamas holding a medical tube. Police took him to his partner's home in Branch Place, Wortley.
An Independent Police Complaints Commission investigation into Mr Miller's death on March 3 2008 found that the actions of police officers and control room staff were "entirely appropriate".
An inquest heard Mr Miller had a history of alcohol problems.
