William Holroyd: Fall led to death of Halton man 38 years on
An accident in 1971 has claimed the life of a 54-year-old man from Halton, an inquest heard.

William Holroyd fell from a rope swing in a park and suffered a severe injury to his spine.
Mr Holroyd was a teenager when the accident happened while he was playing as a youngster in the grounds of Temple Newsam and was left a
paraplegic.
His wheelchair-bound condition led to his death when he contracted broncho-pneumonia.
West Yorkshire coroner David Hinchliff recorded a verdict of accidental death saying his accident "all those years ago ultimately claimed his death".
The inquest was told, he could have made a recovery from his back injury if witnesses to the accident had not carried the then youth to an ambulance.
But Mr Hinchliff absolved the Good Samaritans, saying thnbey were acting in good faith.
Mr Holroyd, a single man, was living with his sister in Halton Moor Road, Halton, when he died and she discovered her brother in an "unresponsive state".
