The music and displays of Scottish country dancing, Arabic and tribal dancing went down a treat while people were offered the opportunity to 'have a go' at the Arabic and tribal dance workshops.
There was a lot of really helpful information available from organisations such as Leeds Tenants Federation, CAB, LCC Planning, EASEL, ENEHL, Education Leeds and The Learning Partnership, plus many others.
The gala was opened by Councillor Vonnie Morgan with the help of Arthur Lotherington and Eric Hives, both of whom are former Seacroft residents.
Councillor Morgan praised the hard work of the gala committee and to close, thanked everyone for attending before declaring the gala a huge success.
Gala committee member, Diane Marsden, said: "Many families brought their picnics and spread them out on the village green, while others joined in impromptu games of cricket and football.
"The gala was a great opportunity to bring the whole community together and people came from across a wide area to join in the fun and enjoy a good day out. It really was a brilliant day.
"A lot of very hard work went in to the planning and organisation of the gala and for those of us on the gala committee it is very satisfying to know that everyone enjoyed themselves so much."
