Ryan, a pupil at David Young Community Academy, blew away the competition at the recent East Leeds Got Talent contest, organised by 16-year-old David Joyce.

Ryan, who sang Break Even by The Script, said: "Everyone is praising me, and saying they have seen me on YouTube.

"I've already filled in the application form online for Britain's Got Talent.

"I've conquered East Leeds. Britain is next."

He joked he has been getting "plenty" of attention from the girls after his triumph.

Talented Ryan has only been singing for a year but is already putting together his own portfolio of songs.
