Tropical World cafe to get a new look

Roundhay Park's Tropical World Café is set to undergo an exciting new redevelopment, as the visitor attraction becomes more popular than ever.

Having recently attracted yet more fascinating animal life in the form of two Slow Lorises, Leeds City Council's Parks and Countryside team have decided to re-furbish Roundhay Park's best loved caf.

The caf will be closing for approximately six weeks while the work is carried out.

In the meantime, visitors can buy refreshments in the Caf's temporary home, located in the The Mansion's Education Rooms. Temporary signage on Mansion Lane will guide customers to the Caf's temporary new home.

The Caf's new look and full new menu will be linked with the Tropical World theme and will provide an opportunity to relax in comfort and style after visiting the facilities that Leeds's premier park has to offer.

Councillor John Procter, Executive Board Member for Leisure, said:

"I am sure everyone will be thrilled with the new improved caf. The refurbishment has been planned to coincide with the quietest time of year to minimise the disruption for Tropical World's many loyal customers."

The Caf will be open seven days a week and the opening hours will be from 10.30am to 3.30pm; the temporary menu includes a choice of sandwiches, pastries, cakes and hot and cold drinks.
