Stanks: Savage attack on pet leaves scars VIDEO
A dog lover from Stanks watched in horror as her beloved Sussex spaniel was mauled by another dog.

Julie and Roger Clark say they now fear taking their pet, Archie, out so much they take a walking stick, a long torch and an attack alarm for protection.
Mrs Clark, of Sledmere Lane, said she took Archie, with her as she wheeled her bin out for collection.
Within seconds, she said, he had been pounced upon by a black and white dog, which she thinks was either a pit bull or a Staffordshire terrier.
Mrs Clark, a child care manager, said: "It was really horrible, I can still see it clearly in my mind. This dog had Archie's neck in its mouth, its jaw was locked and it would not let go, it was biting and biting.
"I was thumping this dog, trying to get it off. Eventually, between me and its owner, we saved Archie."
Mr Clark said Archie suffered deep puncture wounds to his neck, one of them about a centimetre deep that left the muscle below exposed.
He and his wife are angry the attack dog's owner had let it off the lead, and claim he was slow to act when his animal had Archie in its jaws.
They are involved in a local campaign to try and help the Leeds City Council dog warden track the owner down.
With friends, they have distributed leaflets and posters around their estate, asking for information about the attack.
Mr Clark, a bank worker, said: "When Julie and Archie came back in they were in a right state, covered in mud and blood and really upset.

"We were lucky Archie wasn't killed, because a puppy or even a young child could have been.
"Hopefully someone will speak out because we want to stop this happening to anyone else."
The attack, at 10pm on Friday, January 16, was reported to police, but as it was dog-on-dog it is a matter for the council warden.

The couple said a pair of Akitas, a breed once used for fighting by the Japanese, have been seen loose in the area, and they fear those animals
will launch another attack.
