St Gemma's Hospice: Skydive for Moortown charity

Bdetween them, they've put more than 20 years into the cause – and now, they're adding a few thousand feet too.

St Gemma's Hospice staff members Nicola Woodgate, Tracy Dick and Cath Miller will complete a daring skydive to raise money for the charity which needs to raise 20,400 in donations each day to continue its work.

Communications manager Nicola and fundraising director Tracy will complete their jump in Brigg, Lincolnshire, on August 15, while director of nursing Cath will take the plunge to celebrate her 40th birthday next year.

Tracy told Moortown Today: "Jumping with a friend is much more exciting because you can encourage each other and you won't let the other drop out.

"We're always encouraging people to take part in a skydive for St Gemma's so I thought it was about time the staff got involved."

Tracy and Nicola have already raised more than 1,000 for the hospice, which also benefits from the YEP's Half and Half Appeal.
