Spin FM: Tune in to Farsley's own radio station
Teenagers in Farsley have hit the airwaves after transforming an old store cupboard into their very own radio station.
Budding DJs from Farsley Youth Development Project created their own studio at Farsley Farfield Primary and will be spinning the decks from September.

They have spent the past two weeks in the hot seat, getting used to the equipment and pupils from Pudsey Grangefield School have helped them to record their own jingles.
Spin FM, which will be run by the group of teenagers, is set to take
over the airwaves in September.
Howard Bradley, from Farsley Youth Development Project, said: "This is a great example of a project grounded in the community and people have taken control of it.
"They get to learn personal skills, interview techniques, decision making and there is the pressure.
"A sound engineer brings professional skills and it forces the young people to step up to the level."
After the teenagers have spent around 20 hours working on the project they will receive an arts award.
The budding DJs have already had listeners across the country and have even had followers from Germany tune in.
Project organiser Dick Bonham added: "It is a really exciting time.
There's so much that has suddenly happened and come together in the last year.
"The local young people have been creative and changed the way the room looks."
FYDP was set up in 2003 by local people, youth workers and churches, and since then it has gone from strength to strength.
Last year the group's network of volunteers donated 1,000 hours of their own time – equal to 143 working days – to help to inspire hundreds of young people in the area.
The group organises the Farsley Community Festival, which celebrated its fifth birthday this year, to help bring young and old people together.
Every week the group has its bus – nicknamed The Sub – outside the school to provide a venue for youngsters to meet and socialise.
Howard added: "It is a safe place especially in the winter.
"We have got an exciting project in the community and we are trying to identify ways of local people continuing to support this."
