Shadwell: Complex question of a muddy bridlepath
Repairing a muddy bridlepath is more complicated than you might imagine.
For it starts in Shadwell village, runs to Wike – yet is actually in Harewood parish!
Shadwell parish council wants to improve it, but had to ask Harewood for permission.
Parish chairman Debbie Potter went to the Harewood meeting to explain the situation. "We can do the work ourselves, but wondered if you might pay something towards the work," she said. The bridlepath is waterlogged and in some places impassable. Horse riders have stopped using it."
Harewood parish chairman Ron Farrar said: "The simplest way would be for you to go ahead and we could contribute to the costs."
