"The children from Broadgate Primary School had a wonderful time working with staff from across the college and were able to feedback to their classmates and teachers the skills they had been using and what they had learnt about the world of work."

Dexter Ryder, aged 6, from Broadgate Primary School, experienced

the front line of college life when he joined receptionist Patricia Brown to assist campus visitors and take incoming calls.

Trainee teachers from the Primary Education department joined the children and were impressed by their understanding of what constitutes good learning and teaching.

To complete the morning events, the children 'interviewed' a trainee teacher to decide whether they would give him a job in their school.
