For Roundhay garden designer Tracy Foster, her art has turned out to be the perfect imitation of the life of the Tudor queen she was chosen to represent.

Roundhay Today reported last month how Tracy, from Roundhay, Leeds, had been selected to design a garden in honour of Henry VIII's third wife Jane Seymour.

The Royal Horticultural Society called on Tracy's talents in the run-up to the prestigious Hampton Court Palace Flower show.

This year, to mark the 500th anniversary of Henry's accession to the throne, the RHS decided to build six gardens in memory of the monarch's excessive number of spouses.

Judges ruled the mum-of-two's efforts to be the best of the six gardens, earning her a much sought-after silver gilt medal.

Tracy said: "I'm thrilled with the way that the garden came together – it has had a terrific response from the public.

"I feel very proud, and really grateful to Leeds landscapers Green Valley Landscapes who built the paths and to volunteers from Gledhow Wood Grove, and elsewhere who came down to help."
