To help keep their memories alive, 19-year-old pal Luke High organised a football tournament at Micklefield Football Club.

Four teams, including one from the boys' school year group, played.

There was also a balloon release and a minute's silence.

The event raised 470 which is going to the families of the two boys.

Janine Roche, David's mother, said: "For a 19-year-old boy to arrange this is amazing.

"They let David's brother Daniel play which really meant a lot to him, to be part of his brother's team.

"It really pulled at your heartstrings."

She thanked Luke for organising the event and everyone who attended and supported it, especially shops in Oakwood and Seacroft which donated raffle prizes.

David's half of the money raised will go towards sponsoring tracksuits for his 15-year-old brother Daniel's football team, Seacroft Working Men's Colts.

Mandi Copland, Christopher's mum, said: "Chris and David would be proud that they are remembered so dearly."
