Rodley Rockets' clubhouse was given a much needed makeover free of charge by a team of Connaught staff working in the area on improvements to West North West Homes Leeds properties.

It has been fitted with a new kitchen, breakfast bar, toilets, flooring, doors and secure storage facilities. The showers have also been repaired.
Diane Marshman, Rodley Rockets' club secretary, said: "The difference in the clubhouse is amazing. The old changing rooms were really grotty and the kitchen wasn't welcoming. It made for a depressing place that hardly inspired the teams.
"Now the players come in with a spring in their step, while it has helped raise aspirations and for that we can't be thankful enough."
In addition, the hallways of the clubhouse were decorated in the team's colours, whilst the away team's changing room was painted a calming pink in an attempt to pacify their opponents before the rough and tumble of the game.
Graham Hepworth, Connaught partnership manager, said: "The team's facilities were in desperate need of repair and improvements and we were more than happy to donate our time and resources to help refurbish the clubhouse.
"By getting involved in projects like this we are able to make lasting impressions on local communities and we are hopeful the improvements will inspire the team to further success on the pitch."
Chief executive of West North West Homes Leeds, Claire Warren, added: "Community partnership working is really important to West North West Homes. It emphasises our commitment to putting customers first."
