Parents of pupils they were thrilled with the day, which was held to raise cash to fund the structure to help protect schoolchildren from the effects of the sun whilst outdoors at school.

Headteacher Jane Disley said: "We are extremely active in promoting sun sense with our pupils here at Richmond House and we are very grateful to our parents association for organising this excellent event to help us protect our pupils from the sun's harmful effects at peak times of the day.
