Each one is built to have minimum impact on the environment, using 'green' materials in their construction and achieving a high standard of energy efficiency once complete.
Both houses and apartments are aimed at helping to fulfil the need for affordable housing for young professional singles, couples and families from the Leeds area and from the council housing register.
Linda Gray, development project manager for Yorkshire Housing, said: "This is a state-of-the-art development which offers a wide variety of homes for people in and around the Pudsey area.
"Through the new development scheme at the Meadows, we aim to help people live independently and offer comfortable and affordable accommodation.
"These properties are a wonderful example of how funding is being used in partnership with housing associations to deliver housing for people.
"These homes will make a big difference to the lives of the people in the Pudsey area."
