Plea to 'Invest in your future'

Headingley residents are again urged to invest in their future.

The Headingley Enterprise and Arts Trust (HEART) needs to raise 1m to transform Headingley Primary School on Bennett Road into an arts space for the community.

The Trust, which is closely linked to the Headingley Development Trust, wants to stop the building being bought out by developers and turned into a block of flats.

Opera North recently joined the bid to transform the village school into a vibrant arts centre with a music evening where villagers were reminded they can buy shares in the project worth from 100 to a maximum of 20,000.

Talented musicians David Greed and Martin Pickard played at the Elinor Lupton Centre on Headingley Lane, Headingley.
