Playtime bonanza as Freemasons give Guiseley school £30,000
Freemasons have donated thousands of pounds to a local special school to help give children's playtimes a boost.
Pupils and staff at Green Meadows School were presented with a cheque from the West Yorkshire Freemasons for 30,000.
The money will enable the school to re-surface the old worn playground and to create a games court.
The Freemasons made the grant as part of a package worth 200,000 to celebrate 150 years of charitable giving within West Yorkshire.
Sue Williamson from the school said: "The main priority is for us to have the opportunity to thank the Freemasons charity and lodge members for their support and generosity.
"Developing the playground would not have been possible without this donation and the students would have continued to have nothing constructive to do at break times."
