The money has come from the councillors Ward Based Initiative (WBI) fund is being spent on a high tech sensor, timer and thermostat for the

schools boiler.

The new equipment responds to the ambient temperature of the school. This means the heating will only be on when it is needed which will save fuel and help reduce their energy costs.

Councillor Richard Harker (Lib Dem, Moortown) told Moortown Today: "I think it is money well spent and the school will save a lot of money especially in the winter. With the weather so changeable this technology will stop the heating being on unnecessarily on warmer days."
