Moortown: Police seek thugs who attacked mum

Police have issued e-fit likenesses of two thugs who with three others attacked a young Moortown mum after burgling her home.

The 22-year-old woman suffered a suspected broken cheekbone in a struggle with the gang at her home in Sandringham Drive on Saturday, August 8.

The five raiders entered the woman's home at about 10pm and after confronting her ordered her to hand over cash.

After grabbing a small amount of money the five robbers escaped in a silver Mark 4 VW Golf whose registration number is believed to have had the prefix "AE" or "A1"

The man thought to have carried out the main assault on the woman is white, in his early twenties, 5ft in height and of stocky build. He was said to be wearing a black Stone Island jacket and had a heavily pockmarked face. He spoke with a local accent.

The second suspect is white, in his early twenties, about 6ft tall, skinny, with dark hair brushed forward, thick eyebrows and rosy cheeks.

He was wearing a black hooded top with grey piping.
