Fire crews were called to Dulverton Grove after reports of an accident.

They found the man still in the cab of the digger, but with his foot caught underneath it.

They used inflatable compressed airbags to lift the bobcat-style vehicle and allow the man to free himself.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.

Crews from Hunslet fire station were called to the incident, which happened at about noon on Saturday, June 27.
