Leeds hotel group goes into administration
Customers at a luxury Leeds hotel which has gone into administration have been assured their money and bookings are safe.
It has emerged that the Tomahawk Hotel Group, which owns the plush Woodlands Hotel in Gildersome, and its holdings company were placed into the hands of administrators last month.

However, the hotel continues to trade and administrators have pledged that all existing bookings will be honoured.9
The hotel is one of the most popular wedding venues in the city, each year hosting around 130 celebrations, as well as conferences and events. In 2007 it was the venue for Leeds Rhino Jamie Jones-Buchanan's wedding reception with his bride Emma Murphy.
Financial experts at BDO, of City Square, Leeds, have been appointed to oversee the administration of the company, which has around 150 employees.
And while a buyer is sought, Glasgow-based BDL Management Ltd has been engaged to run Woodlands, along with its sister properties, the Great Victoria Hotel in Bradford and Aston Hall in Sheffield.
A spokeswoman for BDO said: "BDL Management Ltd has been appointed to assist with the operation of the hotels which continue to take bookings.
"The company directors were made redundant on appointment of the administrators but no other employees have been affected at this stage. The service to customers has not been affected."
The YEP understands Tomahawk was forced into administration after its bank foreclosed on a loan.
A member of staff at the hotel told the YEP: "I believe the bank foreclosed on our loan.
"It's very unfortunate but we are trading as normal and all bookings will go ahead. No one has lost any deposits and our suppliers have all been paid.
"It's business as usual."
Bradford-based Tomahawk Group was founded by school friends Rob Foulston and Tom Horsfall. The pair, who went to Silcoates School in Wakefield together, said they planned to create a portfolio of 10 upmarket properties within their first 10 years of trading.
The Woodlands Hotel, the first of the pair's properties, opened in 2004 after a makeover.
The landmark building, which sits back from Gelderd Road, had previously been the home of a textile mill owner, a hotel and then a nursing home.
