Leeds: Fugitive's hiding place proves really rubbish
The long arm of the law proved to be just that when a suspect hid in a wheelie bin.
Police launched a hunt for the man who was a disqualified driver and was sought in connection with an alleged breach of a court order.
The man, believed to be the subject of a non-molestation order imposed by a court, was seen sitting in a car in the Woodlesford area of Leeds.
When police approached him it is claimed he ran off and a search of the area was immediately launched to find him by the Rothwell Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Police tracker dogs were summoned in a bid to sniff him out.

And when they drew a blank the West Yorkshire Police helicopter was scrambled to search the area from the sky.

In doing so the helicopter crew deployed its thermal imaging or "heat-seeking" camera to focus on people on the ground in the search area.

Fairly quickly the camera detected a crouched figure "glowing bright red" in a wheelie bin at an address in Langdale Road, Woodlesford, according to a West Yorkshire Police spokesman.
Officers on the ground were guided to the scene by the 'spy-in-the-sky' and confirmed the wanted man was inside the bin.
He was removed and arrested and taken to City and Holbeck CID for questioning at about 3.15pm on Sunday afternoon.
The spokesman added: "The incident is a clear demonstration of the rapid response of the Neighbourhood Policing Team and Road Policing Group, and the effectiveness of modern technology."
