Lawnswood School to welcome author

Author Tom Palmer, author of Puffin's Football Detective and Football Academy series will be visiting Lawnswood School to conduct a reading workshop with students.

The event is taking place to launch book week and the school's Readathon.

Year 7 will be having an assembly that morning where each pupil will receive a free book from the school to encourage literacy in young people.

As well as a writer, Tom is an avid football fan which should encourage young sport enthusiasts to read more.

Currently living in Todmorden Tom, originates from Gledhow Valley Road in Leeds.
