Kippax Welfare stage memorial sevens

Kippax Welfare ARLFC is staging its annual memorial sevens tournament this weekend.

The competition, on Saturday, June 27 (1pm), is in memory of club players Steve Denton and Barry Ibbotson who were tragically killed in a car crash nearly 30 years ago.

Teams from Castleford and Featherstone area, Leeds district and the First Division of the Pennine League have been invited to compete along

with Hunslet Warriors, Queens and Myton Warriors.

Attractions will include a beer tent, barbecue, giant slide, stalls and ice cream.

Any teams who have not had an invitation and would like to compete should contact the Kippax clubhouse or club secretary.
