John Smeaton Community College: Grease musical proves a hit SLIDESHOW

Students at John Smeaton Community College have staged the musical Grease.

The musical was the culmination of over seven months hard work with a group of very talented students and staff.

The work began with auditions in June 2007.

The production played to over 1,000 people over three evenings with the final performance on Thursday, January 15.

Two dress rehearsals were performed in front of members of the local community and to over 170 pupils from local primary schools.

Students from across the college were represented with this production which included actors, dancers, singers, back stage crew, lighting and sound technicians, make up and front of house personnel.

The production of this musical was a tribute to the hard work and talents of Tracey White and Julie Backhouse from our Music Department.
