And she makes a return to the big screen as Beverly in St Trinians 2, The Legend of Fritton's Gold which will be released later this month.

Jodie will be joined by Ripon Grammar School Choir as well as one of Britain's most popular soprano singers, Yorkshire-born Lynne Dawson.

Millions know Lynne through her concert performances and her moving account of the Libera Me from Verdi's Requiem at the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Other high profile readers taking part at the service include: charity fundraiser Mike Tomlinson, husband of the late Jane Tomlinson; Susan Rumfitt, a jewellery expert and member of the Antiques Roadshow team, and Professor Stanley Brown whose work at Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology in Leeds is funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Around 800 people are expected to attend the service set within the cathedral in the heart of Ripon.

Tickets are available for 7.50, 12 or 15 each, and include a mince pie and wine reception after the service. For tickets, phone 01423 877 210.
