I Love West Leeds Festival 2009: Design a bag

Arty Wortley school pupils have proved they have bags of talent as part of this year's I Love West Leeds Festival celebrations.

Youngsters at Five Lanes Primary School, in Wortley, have been sticking and sewing designs to canvas shopping bags as part of a competition.

Over 2,000 free canvas bags were made available to customise and the most stylish shopper will be in with a chance to win a digital camera.

Local groups and schools have snapped up the bags and around 30 of them are left to give away.

There will be workshops for people to decorate their own bag at libraries at Armley on July 4 at 2pm, Farsley on July 7 and 8, between 3.30-4.30pm and at Calverley on July 9 at 2.45pm.

Or visit Interplay's headquarters on Armley Ridge Road to collect a free bag.
