The Horsforth running club will be hoping to repeat the successes of previous 10K races and the sell out success of the 10K race's 'little brother', the Apperley Bridge Canter, held earlier in May of this year.

This year's 10K provides an opportunity for a last warm up/tune up race for runners entered in the following weekend's Great North Run, while still remaining a great first race for those new to racing, particularly for those considering a first 10K.

Local running clubs Valley Striders and Abbey Runners plan to make the Horsforth 10K the third and final fixture in their friendly 2008 inter-club challenge, and both clubs are expected to field large entries for this deciding race.

Once again, Horsforth Harriers are using their race to try and raise money for a chosen charity and this year will make a donation to Radio Aire/Magic 828's charity 'Cash for Kids' which raises funds for sick, disabled and underprivileged children in the West Yorkshire area.

At the 2007 race Radio Aire/Magic 828 had a team of runners headed by Producer V and expect to once again field a team to toe the line at the 2008 race.
