Horsforth College chosen by media group for bursary awards
A top media group has chosen a Horsforth's Trinity & All Saints College as one of only two in the UK to get a new bursary for broadcast journalists.

The Scott Trust, owner of Guardian Media Group plc, has chosen the Horsforth college to benefit from a new bursary in postgraduate broadcast journalism.
It is in addition to the trust's support for print journalism courses.

The new bursary will fund a trainee on Leeds Trinity's postgraduate course in bimedia (radio and TV) or radio journalism. Their tuition fees and a subsistence allowance of 5,000 will be paid.
They will also get the chance of work experience with Guardian Media Group, which includes Real Radio, Smooth Radio, Century Radio, The Guardian, The Observer and guardian.co.uk.
Richard Horsman, Leeds Trinity's broadcast course leader, said: "We share the trust's commitment to encouraging diversity in newsrooms, and we will work hard with our partners to find a candidate who will really benefit from the opportunity."
The closing date for applications is March 9.
