Headingley in Bloom campaign wins funding support
Local councillors have shown their support for the work of Headingley Development Trust by giving £1,000 to the Headingley in Bloom campaign.
The Trust are running the Headingley in Bloom project and hope to make the suburb a greener place by planting more shrubs and flowers around shopping and pedestrian areas.

Councillor Martin Hamilton (Headingley, Lib Dem) said: "It is our hope that the Headingley in Bloom scheme will help transform the local area.
"Hopefully beautifying the streets through plants, shrubs and displays will encourage all residents to treat the local community with the respect it deserves.
"Headingley can be a really attractive place to live and this project will help ensure that it continues."
