Halton: Witness plea after car hits girl
A 14-year-old girl hit by a car in Selby Road, Halton was treated at the city's St James's Hospital and released.
Later it was learned that the driver of the silver car which struck her at about 8.30am on Monday stopped briefly at the scene, but then drove off.
He was heading towards Leeds when the accident happened. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact PC 2465 Shaw at the North East Leeds Traffic Unit on 0845 60 60 606.
