Halton Moor: Teens held as raid uncovers £40,000 drugs and swords

Two teenagers were arrested when police raided a Halton Moor house and seized ammunition, £40,000 worth of drugs and Samurai swords.

The girl of 14 and boy of 15 were held along with a woman of 21 and man of 31 in the breakfast-time raid on a three-bedroom terrace house in Freemantle Place, Halton Moor, on Wednesday, November 18.

The teenagers were arrested for possession of ammunition for a firearm without a lawful certificate. Both were released on bail pending further inquiries.

The man and woman were arrested for possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and the same ammunition charge as the teenagers.

Police searched the house and found three kilos of amphetamines with an estimated street value of 30,000 and cocaine with an approximate value of 10,000.

Also found were 12 live shotgun cartridges and weapons including Samurai swords and martial arts knives.
