During the raid, three men, aged 19, 21 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of producing cocaine, possession with intent to supply illegal Class A and Class B drugs and illegal possession of ammunition.

During the detailed search of the property, one and a half kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of 60,000 were seized along with a quantity of cannabis.

When police officers searched a bedroom they discovered a dozen live shotgun cartridges hidden in a shoebox.

The three men were taken to an undisclosed police station for questioning and investigations into the finds are continuing.

Chief Supt Gerry Broadbent, divisional commander, said: "This is a significant drug seizure and it demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackle those involved in the supply and sale of drugs in this city."
