Garforth: Community bonfire and fireworks prove a hit
The Community Bonfire and Fireworks display organized by Garforth & District Lions proved to be a great success.
In spite of the rain an estimated 3,500 people attended this annual event.
This bonfire has been organized by the Lions over the past few years, not as a fund raising event but as a community service. It is financed out of Lions funds and donations on the gate.
The Lions would like to thank all those who gave so generously.
Local councilors James Lewis, Mark Dobson and Tom Murray were on hand to help Lions President Nigel Ware with the Lighting.
