Garforth Annual Flower and Vegetable Show 2010: Final preparations underway
Final preparations are under way for the Garforth Annual Flower and Vegetable Show.
Taking place this year for the 30th time, the show is being held at Garforth Miners' Welfare Hall on Saturday, September 4.
Entries are being sought in 80 classes, covering everything from cucumbers to chrysanthemums as well as home produce like scones, biscuits and cakes.
Staging can be carried out at the hall between 7pm and 8.30pm on September 3 and from 9am to 11am on the day itself.
The show will open to the public at 2pm, with an auction of produce due to begin at 3.30pm.
Presentation of prizes will be performed by the Lady Mayoress of Leeds, Coun Andrea McKenna.
Garforth Community Association is organising the event in conjunction with Garforth Allotments and Home Gardens Association.
