Extra help for Guiseley pupils
A new support centre at Guiseley School is to give pupils extra help with their studies.
The centre aims to improve student welfare in and provide more support for pupils with physical, behavioural and emotional difficulties.
The centre, in the school grounds, will have classroom space, counselling and physiotherapy rooms.
Coun Graham Latty (Con, Guiseley & Rawdon) said: "This development will enable the school to prioritise student welfare and better adapt the curriculum to ensure that pupils are getting the right level of support.
Leeds council is to meet the 500,000 cost. Work is expected to end by April.
