EXCLUSIVE: Firefighters free trapped Leeds puppy
IT was early morning mayhem in one Leeds household after a six-week old puppy got his head trapped in a television cabinet for over three hours.
Firefighters had to use a power saw and hydraulic separators to wrench apart the aluminium cabinet which was locked onto the pup's neck.
And as crews carried out the pet rescue at 6.10am yesterday on Tuesday, baby Rottweiller's six other siblings were bouncing around the lounge.
Firefighters were called to the house on Ley Lane, Armley, by the pet's distraught owners.
They had been trying for nearly three hours to remove the dog's head with washing up liquid.

Crew manager Rob Hart, from Stanningley Fire Station, told the YEP: "The puppy had got his had stuck in the back of the television cabinet.
"They had been trying for two or three hours but it was stuck fast so they rang us."
His crew found the puppy's head was stuck through a piece of aluminium with two holes in it where wires are put through.
Mr Hart added: "We had to use the hydraulic separators and get the big power saw to cut through it.
"The owners were quite distressed and they had detached the back off the cabinet.
"They had six puppies in all who were all running around while we were doing it."
The pet pooch was said to be safe and well after the rescue.
