East Leeds: Travellers told they must move on
Travellers who set up home on training pitches used by an historic east Leeds rugby league side have been told they must move on today.
The travellers camped at the former Copperfield College site in Cross Green, used as training pitches by East Leeds ARLFC.

The club has more than 200 junior rugby league players who were left without anywhere to play when the travellers arrived in May.
But after a court ruling this week which granted Leeds City Council possession of the land, the travellers were given until noon today to leave.
Councillor Les Carter, executive member for neighbourhoods and housing said: "The council has been using all available legal means to move the travellers from this site and I'm pleased that we've now been successful.
"This particular unauthorised encampment has caused numerous problems for the East Leeds Rugby Club, who use the playing fields for their matches. Our priority now will be to assess the condition of the site
and restore it to its former condition."
Originally around 60 caravans had been set up on the site. But most moved on earlier this month.
