'Drugs' link inquiry in Tinshill man's death

Police probing the sudden death of a man in Tinshill have detained a woman on suspicion of drugs offences.

Officers were called to a house in Silk Mill Avenue at about 2pm after a man was believed to have died at the address.

When officers arrived the man, 31, had already been taken by ambulance to Leeds Infirmary where he was certified dead by doctors.

Police said that at this stage it was not believed there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs and was still in police custody on Thursday.

It is understood that there were no signs of a break-in or violence at the property.

Detectives carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area and were awaiting the outcome of a post mortem examination to determine the cause of the man's death which has been reported to the coroner.
