Dr David Charley: Former Wheatfields hospice doctor dies
Dr David Charley, the first honorary clinical director at Wheatfields hospice in Headingley, has died aged 90.

Dr Charley was one Yorkshire's best known Baptists and was president of the Yorkshire Baptist Association in 1971 and became the national president of Baptist Union of Great Britain in 1982.
He lived in Headingley and was a retired chest physician. He took the post at the newly-opened Wheatfields in 1978 only a year after his wife Joan died from cancer.
He was a deacon and trustee at the Blenheim Baptist Church in Leeds.
A service will be held at South Parade Baptist Church, Headingley, on Friday, November 21 at 2pm.
