Witter was remanded into custody to appear at crown court on September 8 charged with causing death by dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and other road offences.

Another man of 22 was released on police bail pending inquiries into the smash. Two 15-year-old girls and a 19-year-old woman in the Mercedes have been released without charge.
